"But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for a high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do His work and speak out for Him, to tell others of the night and day difference He has made for you-from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted." 1 Peter 2:9-10

Prince Charming

Every little girl dreams about their prince charming at some point in her life. But have you ever thought about Jesus being your prince charming. He loves you more than anyone or anything could ever love you. He's been there for you when no one else has. He's seen you in your deepest pit of your despair, He's been there for you. He's seen every good and bad thing you have done and still loves you, an imperfect person. He thinks your beautiful more beautiful than any guy could ever think. Our focus should be on our true Prince Charming, which is Jesus. The Lord is writing our love- stories. But as of right now our love story should be with Him. It should be our desire to be with Him 24/7. It should be easy for us to to talk to Him. It should be easy for us to love Him. Since He has given us everything we have, don't we owe it to Him to obey what He tells us to do and how to live?
Just a little thought. :)

You ask... He answers... So obey Him

We all have asked God at some point in our lives to use us. And we tell Him he has full control if our life. And then we ask Him to tell us how tell people about His great live and mercy. So, when you Him that and He responds~ respond back and obey what He has told you to do. Most of the time we hear God, but if it's something we don't want to do we ignore it and move on, but eventually it will come and it will keep coming back until we respond to it. So, when God tells you to do something- DO what He told you to do. What if isn't something you want to do, do it anyway. He has the big picture of your life, you don't so respond to what He tells you to do and not your flesh. He has the ultimate plan and the bug picture and believe me its a good one. Respond to Him with a quick and oviduct heart. And listen to what He tells you. :)

Just Something to Think About...

What if we talked about God as much as we talked about boys or what if we talked about the Bible more than we did Facebook. I mean think about if we talked about the Lord more than we did earthly things...where would we be in our relationship with Christ? And if we spent more time reading the Bible than we were on Facebook or watched tv or just were on the computer killing time...how about if we killed time reading the Bible or listening to worship music. And here is another thing the things you watch hear and see affect your walk with the Lord. As weird as it may sound those things that you watch hear and see can persuade you very easily without you even know when your being persuaded. So if your listening to something that is secular music and is cussing every other 5 seconds you should turn it off. Your thinking well what if it only cussed once...TURN IT OFF! Your the one that makes the choice to turn it off or not. It's your choice and that one choice can lead you down the right path that God has destined you to go on or you can choose the path that is going to be filled with hardship and difficulties and the path that He has not called you to go down. He knows which one you are going to pick...but He's giving you the choice and at that moment you have to decided which path you are going to go down...
Just something to think about.

I just adore this song...SO true. :)

Revival in our school

Are you ok with the way your school is? Or are you not ok with it, but just don't do anything about it? If you want to see revival in your school, don't just sit around and do nothing about  the way your school is now. If God has called you to change the way your school is, do it. Don't wait. Do it NOW!  And if you have an idea about how to change it, and if you are told no about the idea, keep trying, don't give up on it. You we called to change things, called to change a generation, called to tell people about the Lord, the one true God. If you don't do what He's called you to do, He's not gonna wait around on you, He'll give to another person who will do it and is not afraid. Not afraid about what people think cause you stand up for your God. Stand up for you what you believe in. God has a great and radical plan for your life and is going to use you, you just have to be ready to say yes to what He's calling you to do.

Our Generation- Dutch Sheets, RAMP 2011

Ok so that didnt work soo well. Here it is again. (:
You are a generation called to awakening, revival and reformation. You are a reforming generation. You are a hinge generation. History will swing...turn because of you. You are a transition generation. You'll move America and the earth from the old into the new. You are change agents. No evil is safe. Status quo is not safe when you are around. You wonder why you are so strange...so different. When others want to party, you want to pray. When they're laughing, you're weeping...when they dance, you mourn. You will never be satisfied in the box marked normal. You will never fit in the typical, societal niche because you are a reformer. There is something in your dna that cannot accept status quo, business as usual, things as they are. Deep in your heart, you know you are called to change things...to rock the boat. You will never leave well enough alone. You want to be a difference maker. You are not the internet generation. You are the intercessory generation. You are pioneers, forerunners, pathfinders, trailblazers. You love God but are turned off by religion. You crave His presence but loathe the average church service. You are passionate about Him. You have God-cravings. When you taste Him, it only makes you hungry for more. You don't just sing, you worship. Heaven loves it. Demons hate it. You don't just pray, you cry out. You offend the religious but you move God. You live in His presence. You walk with God. In Him you live and move and have your very being. You refuse to let the world around you shape and define you. You can't be bought...money will be your servant, not your master. Careers will serve you but not define you. You don't live for wealth, fame or pleasure. You would never lower your goal to simply being rich or famous. You're a world changer. You live for the eternal, not the temporal. You're a giver, not a taker. You won't compromise. You hate sin. You are dead to it and it is dead to you. When you dream, it is about the impossible. You will raise the dead. You will heal the sick. You will set free the oppressed...lead them to peace and wholeness. You will heal the broken-hearted. You will bring good news to the poor and when you see pain, you know you're called to heal it. Christ's mission statement is your mission statement. You deliver the bound, set the captive free. You will laugh at demons and then cast them out. Your very presence terrifies them...you fear nothing...no evil, because you know He is with you. When you face adversity, you don't fear because you measure it against your God. You know that you always triumph in Him. You know that greater is He that's in you than he that's in the world. You know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You know that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you. You know that nothing can separate you from His love. You are dangerous because your life is not your own. Losing your life doesn't scare you, wasting it does. Bullets or martyrdom don't scare you. Mediocrity scares you. Like David, you run to kill giants. You grab lions by the beard and break the necks of bears. You crave His presence...worship with abandonment...run through troops and leap over walls. You are worshiping warriors...a generation after God's heart. Like Abraham, you're God's friend. You are covenant keepers. Like Joshua, you're a leader, and you and your house will serve the Lord. Like Caleb, you are warriors. Like Daniel, you walk in wisdom and revelation. You pray! You refuse to compromise! You are greater...10 times greater than the world! Like Joseph, you're dreamers. You're pure. You're royalty. You save nations. Like Esther, you were born for such a time as this. Like Paul, you count not your life dear to yourself, for you to live is Christ and to die is gain. You want to know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings. You're going to run a good race, fight a good fight, press toward the mark, and apprehend that which you've been apprehended for. Like John the Beloved, you're lovers of God. Like Mary, you are the alabaster box generation. Like Lincoln and Wilberforce, you're going to deal with injustice. You are going to take out abortion. You're going to end sex trade. You're going to confront racism. Like Elijah, you're going to cast down Jezebel. you're going to break the back of idolatry in this nation. You're going to deliver from homosexuality. You're a royal priesthood...a holy nation. You're an awakening generation. You are alive. You have been awakened to destiny. You are the generation that He's been looking for. You are called! You are a voice! You carry a sound that cannot be silenced! You are an army and you are now commissioned! You are free to be everything He's destined you to be...a glorious church without spot or wrinkle. You will never turn back. You are forever ruined. You will always burn. You will fight and you will win! You are a generation that will awaken the earth!"

The light in the dark

Just a couple of minutes ago the Lord told me to look out my window. I honestly just thought to myself why would He want me too look out the window?. Why would He want me to do something that simple? Well for this blog to make sense I seem to have neglected to have told you that there is a huge thunderstorm right now. Anyway back to the window:). As I walked over to my window I saw the sun through all these trees. The Lord spoke to me once again and said "There is light in the darkness." This was extremely touching to me as I had been going through a season of just being confused (and still am). We need to find our strength in the Lord and only the Lord. :) <3

Talents/ praise

God has given each and everyone of us talents to serve Him. Whether its singing, dancing, praying, cooking, or playing a certain sport; you can (need) to use those talents to serve the Lord. In fact, the Lord ask us to use our talents to worship and bring glory to Him. I know with me personally God has has given me the ability and desire to dance. I don't care what I'm doing I just want to dance-dance all the time! The Lord has a great plan for your life and most likely His plans for you include your talents. You can show His love through your talents. People will see something different about you. They will wonder whats wrong with you? (In a good way- haha) Our talents can bring the Lord praise. I have a question to ask you. Are  you bringing the Lord praise in everything you do? Are you giving Him glory and not yourself? Here are a few verses about this: Since we are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church.1 Corinthians 14:12, We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.Romans 12:6-8.  So, use your talents to serve the Lord and bring glory to Him. Don't try to satisfy others with your talents- only the Lord. Glorify and praise Him in everything you do!

Listen...

Have you ever truly listened to the words of a song? Same thing when God speaks to us. Have you ever really tuned your ears to hear His voice? I know personally when I have asked God for answers, it's hard for me to really hear His voice. I sometimes can't tell if its really Him. Or it's just a voice inside my head; but if you really tune your ears to really hear His voice, you never know what you will encounter. Rather it be Him showing His love to you or simply just giving you answers to your questions. So who's with me? Who wants to tune your ears to hear Gods voice with me?!?! Also really listen to the words of this songs. I bet it will make you smile. Dont laugh at the actual music video ;)

When you are afraid..and other things

Have you ever heard a noise at night and you freak out? For instance (this is not a true story :say you were home alone and a person started to break into your house. What would your instinct be? Probably most of us would call 911. But have you ever thought just to ask God to protect you? God is there for you whenever you need Him whether it be on a test, getting in trouble, getting hurt,or someone breaking in to your house. He is there for you. He made you and He wants to protect and comfort you. Now if it is in your timing...we'll see about that. God has a time and a place for everything. He will provide everything you need. He has a plan and a design for your life and He knows when things are going to happen to you. So let Him take control. So all of you control freaks give it up to God. Wouldn't you rather let someone take control over your life that knew what was going to happen than for you to take control and not know what is going to happen?

You are beautiful!!!

Have you ever thought to yourself...I'm fat, I'm short, I don't like my curly  hair ;) I don't like the way I look. Well, when you say things like that, you are sorta saying God made something ugly or not pretty. But God sees you as beautiful and He created they way he wanted you. Or when your friends say your fat or your short or whatever, just dismiss that. Because YOU ARE beautiful, He sees you as beautiful and He sees you as His. When you are confused or don't really know who you are He says thats my son, thats my daughter... I created that masterpiece! :) No matter what anyone says you are beautiful because you are His! God made us the way He wanted us. So the next time you put yourself down because you don't like the way you look...Well God created you and YOU ARE beautiful.

Thanks!

To Anna:
Thanks so much for  the post about me...I loved it!! It made me cry!! I miss and love you very much.
XOXO,
Salem

He loves you!!/ You are His.

I know we have all heard that Jesus loves us, but do we really believe that? I know that I didn't until October of last year. Yes, I had heard that Jesus loves me...but honestly I never really thought that much about it. Until one night I was on my moms iPod looking at artist when I came upon John Mark McMillan. And then a song came on How He Loves.(Best song ever) And while I was listening to that song I literally began to weep. The Lord spoke to me, He said "Salem, you are my daughter and I love you!You are mine and you are forgiven." And then after that I just started crying even more. There are like I don't know 6 billion people on this planet and He loves you. And no matter if your a serial killer He loves you. No matter how many mistakes you make, we all make mistakes, but God will still love you. He will always love you. He knows how many hairs are your head...thats a lot.
I'm gonna write something on a different subject now. And its gonna be all over the place, so bare with me. So a couple nights ago at youth, we talked about fitting in. When you don't know where you belong or you think you don't fit in, thats a good thing. God looks at you and says thats my son, thats my daughter and I am so proud him/her.
